Once you deactivate your facebook account, "you" don't exist (on FB) anymore.
They won't be able to search for you, view your profile, etc. so they certainly won't be able to invite you to events.
Can "friends" invite you to events on facebook if you deactivate your account and opt out of the notifications
surely they can invite you... but in the real world.. .but on facebook your history
