For you, I would strongly suggest inviting your friend in person because you do not come across very well in text. You may use the telephone if needed, but be sure to talk to him; don't just leave a message. Also, do not confuse words like "Who" and "How" as your friend may not understand what you're asking.





You won't need to worry much about a full dialog as this is a good friend you won't need to impress. If you have a specific topic to meet about over lunch, you may want to say so right away. This will give your friend time to prepare. Otherwise, just ask your friend if he or she would like to join you for lunch. There's nothing to it.
