Can we invite the muslims to our party?

we are many foreign students at our university but the majority are pakistans and indians. i am organising an african party but i was just wondering if we should invite them or not. we want to invite all the foreigners but are scared to invite the muslims cos we are all christians. we are gona have an opening pray but ain't they gona feel a bit excluded or wierd during the pray? just wondering,, don't come up with some funny racial slurs please. we are gona invite all the people.
Can we invite the muslims to our party?
Why this question invite everybody . Because at the end of day everyone is a humanbeing when at an incidence you can feel happy or sad even Indians %26amp; Pakistanis can feel the same way because even they have a heart like yours.

Tell them before hand about the pray. I'm sure that no muslim or Indian will feel bad because in their respective countries they are taught to respect other religions also

Enjoy your party make everybody feel special
Reply:i am a muslim myself who's living in a multiracial country. we never seem to have problems or qualms when it comes to inviting the non-muslims for this kind of things so my advice is to just invite them. however, please make sure that the food/drinks you'll be serving them is non-alcoholic and halal. pork is an absolute no-no and if you want to play it safe, ask for their opinion/maybe even recipes before the party or you can prepare several vegetarian dishes for them too. if you are worried about the opening pray, maybe you can ask them to come later so they can skip it but another gesture that would be appreciated is to ask everyone regardless of religion/faith to recite their prayers in their own way or if this is not possible, to take a few moments of silence as sign of respect. this way, they will also be included (albeit in slightly different fashion). i hope this advice doesn't come too late. gope the pary goes well =)
Reply:Be aware that, just like in Christianity, the Muslim faith has many levels of practitioners. Some observe their faith more strictly then others, however that doesn't mean that they are incapable of interacting with people from different backgrounds.

Just be clear what kind of party this is %26amp; what kind of activities will be present.
Reply:Just don't serve them pork...or booze.

it's okay to invite them, they're normal people not some geographically isolated lot.

The opening pray part will be a bit wierd, yes.

but invite them a little bit later, so that they can skip the prayer.

Have fun at your party.
Reply:Invite them only if..

You don't have alcohol in party

you do not have pork in party

you can provide halal food in party.

Otherwise don't invite them.
Reply:Let everyone know that you invite that you will be opening the party with a Christian prayer.

Then each person can decide if they would be comfortable or not.
Reply:yes I would think that if you do invite them over %26amp; bust-out with an "opening pray" that it might seem unwelcome %26amp;/or exclusive
Reply:Invite them but when you do mention about the prayer and add if they would prefer they can come after the prayer.
