I have this obnoxious feminist aunt that people can't stand. Should I still invite her to family functions?

Why or why not?

No. Feminists ruin things. Look at the family court system.
Reply:Invite her every other time. Could be some inheritance for you, after her passing. You'd be the only one that was somewhat nice to her. Could be worth your while.

C. :)
Reply:As she's your split personality it will be difficult for you to attend and her not to.
Reply:Certainly yes. Don't leave her out please. As long as you are there (as the host), what could go awry?
Reply:YEAH, need to have some excitement!!!
Reply:If you invite all the other aunties, you should invited her as well..... or she will be coming to us asking why someone could be so cruel to her... please spare us...... be nice....
Reply:Yes for the simple fact that she is your aunt. I have many family members who are horrible minded people .), such as my grandmother (Not in the sense of feminism but in a different sense of responsiblity. Long story). Even though I'd like to disown being in any relation to her, she is my grandmother. Even though my father left us poor and S.O.L (even with a working mother btw..she worked 16 hours.) and we often had no light nor did I have any diapers, I still call him my father. He is, whether I like it or not.
Reply:I have one very bitter angry feminist lesbian aunt and I also have a outgoing loud obnoxious smelly no personal space aunt and yes they are both always welcome at any family functions.

Why because they are family and I love them no matter.

plus as several people mentioned they always liven the place up.

Whether it be a good loud fight (which my family loves a battle of wits often picking a subject just to argue) or watching the newest members of the family (recently married in) try to be around both of them.

We can not choose our families they just are, so you take the good the bad and the ugly and are thankful for them all.
Reply:Sure why not, Shake things up a little.
Reply:I certainly would invite her if nothing else she will liven the party up.
Reply:Yes. I have an uncle that is a die hard liberal (Clinton's always right, fox news evil) its OK to have an opinion but people can have their own right. So what I do is introduce him as this. "Oh this is my Uncle **** be care full don't like him know that you vote for Reagen" or something like that. I find if people aren't blind sided it is usual better. And why? It's the old saying. "You can pick your friends but not your family."
Reply:If you don't like her , you don't invite her.
