I was asked to invite my former boss as a guest speaker, but he farts involuntarily.?

A high school teacher asked me to invite my former boss, an eminent college professor, as a guest speaker in her classroom. I am worried because my elderly professor, whom i respect, farts involutarily for some medical or age related reasons i dont know. During his last deparmental seminar, for example, he farted like at least five times. Luckily, audience is mature and noone never laughs about it, at least to his face. I dont want to lie to this highschool teacher but I dont want to sound like: I dont want him to be the speaker in your classroom, cause he farts".


Its highly likely that her students being young and immature may laugh at him during his talk. I dont want him to be made funo of. I dont even think he realizes he farts, poor thing.

You are in a very tough spot, honesty always works out for the best. Maybe you can give the poor fella some Beano gas relief or have some kind of background noise in the classroom that will drown out the FARTS. Have in sit in a soft padded fabric chair. No woooden or leather mind you.

Reply:You can tell your school teacher about this to avoid the embarrassment to your professor who may take it as an insult. Also you cannot blame children or for that matter anybody including me from smiling/laughing if suddenly farts. Teacher may agree.


Teacher also cannot tell her pupils beforehand which will make them more hilarious and will wait for him to fart.

Reply:Wow! This is a tough one. You could tell you're high school teacher about the problem of having him come to speak. She would be best to decide if the kids are mature enough to handle it.
Reply:I really dont think that the kids are mature enough to handle it at all they will definatley laugh and make him feel bad. I think you should really talk to the high school teacher and if she still wants him to go then maybe she should have a talk with the class before he gets there are stupid as that might sound letting the class know what to expect before he shows up could save the professor the embarresment.
